Dr Abeer holds PhD in Change Management and Organization Development from Loughborough University, UK (Innovation Culture in Organizations); MSc in Operations Management and Manufacturing Systems from the University of Nottingham, UK; PGCE in Strategic Management from the University of Cambridge, UK; and BSc in Industrial Engineering from the University of Jordan. She taught innovation and entrepreneurship to MBA and PhD students at Lancashire School of Business and Enterprise/University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN/UK) 2017/2018 after finishing a role as Assistant Professor at the University of Sharjah, UAE (2016/2017) where she taught EMBA and undergraduate courses
and developed/co- developed syllabus for the modules she taught.
Dr Abeer was chosen as part of Cohort 2 for Stanford University high-level specialized training in Design Thinking Methodology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship to advance Innovation and Entrepreneurship modules at UAE Universities with most recent developments in the field and was part of a team tasked to develop cultural kits for Design Thinking Methodology in the UAE. Dr. Abeer Was chosen as Innovation Judge for a joint diploma by his Royal Highness Mohamed Bin Rashid Centre, UAE for Government Innovation and the University of Cambridge, she shared judges panel of Cambridge Professors to evaluate 42 governmental projects with successful outcomes.
Recently published her first book titled: ‘Innovation Culture in Organizations: Model Development and Application’ ISBN: 978-3-330-84836-8. The book is available on Amazon.com. Currently she is working on her second book: ‘Change from Within’, which deeply looks into three interlinked dimensions of change at the individual level in view of organizational change. Accredited LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator since 2013 and used the tool to support entrepreneurs, students and companies in utilizing the powers of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® in enhancing the learning process and entrepreneurial activity at higher education institutions, governmental departments and private businesses.
Dr. Abeer developed award-winning innovation culture model and application and received best paper award from the 12th international business conference in Dubai 2010. She was subsequently awarded “one of the most prestigious awards” from Loughborough University; Sir Robert Martin Award for academic excellence and was named Loughborough University Ambassador for the year 2008.
She is a member of scientific committee of The International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM), UK; reviewing and approving research papers for ISPIM innovation conferences since 2013.
An entrepreneur herself; she founded ‘Innovation Culture Consulting Ltd.’ in Manchester in 2011 and Amman in 2014 and worked as a registered expert for Business Growth Service, UK, Innovaris Accelerator, Business Growth Hub, UK Trade and Investment, IFB2016, Manchester University, Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. She has 10 years of experience in designing and delivering highly specialized consultation projects and training into creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and growth in UK private and governmental sectors, UAE, Jordan including MNCs Acquisition culture change projects.

Experience

Abeer provided training and consultancy in the UK, Jordan, UAE and internationally and spoke in various national and international conferences and industrial events. She also provided training to UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) in the North West, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, the Growth Hub, and other governmental and private bodies in the UK.
As a registered Expert of Business Growth Service, she supported small and medium businesses in two routes: growth through innovation and Leadership and Management funded programs.("As part of the November 2015 Spending Review settlement, the government has decided to wind down the national delivery of the Business Growth Service").
Her sessions are very well attended with high positive feedback and testimonials.
She is a registered trainer at Amman Chamber of Industry and provided training to Ajman Free Zone in the UAE which was concluded with awards and applaud.
Abeer had the pleasure as a guest lecturer at Manchester Business School (MBS) to provide support in teaching M.Sc. students and jointly worked to publish research papers with Prof Bernard Burnes, Ex-Chair of Organisational Change at MBS.

Abeer is an accredited LEGO Education Teacher Trainer and works alongside academic institutions and schools in introducing creativity and innovation to students and young people using LEGO as part of LEGO Education Academy teacher trainer programs.
